Diocesan Multipurpose Complex

The Diocese of Lagos is building a Multi-purpose campground for youths and adults where seminars, conferences, meetings, retreats, training and sporting activities can be organized.

When completed, the complex would comprise of 3 dormitories for at least 920 campers at a time, 12 units of chalets, a dining hall, a chapel/auditorium and an admin block. An artist veiw of the complex when completed is shown below

In a message from the Archbishop of the Ecclesiatical Province of Lagos and Bishop of Lagos, The Most Rev Dr. Ephraim Adebola Ademowo, he said "Having a befitting Campground where we can congregate for retreats, conferences, seminars, crusades and youth activities is longe overdue, but we are grateful to God that the project is taking off at a time like this. This multipurpose complex is for the spiritual and mental well being of the people of God."

The Chairman of the Project implementation committee, Dr Tunji Braithwaite called it "a camp where Soldiers of Christ will be congregating regularly to plan strategies and strengthen themselves spiritually. A Camp groung where we will be having programmes for all classes of people for Soul searching and Spiritual upliftment.

The Director for the Diocesan Directorate for Youth which owns the project, The Ven Ife S. Okupevi, sees the camp as "a civic resort, and resource center for the young and old whereby one can relax to enjoy persnal or corporate leisure, meeting and retreats. It is a home away from home".
